Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.

My Journey
My dream from the age of 16 was to fight injustice by helping people live their lives on their own terms. I really didn't know what this meant but I was clear that I could do this by working with people's minds. There weren't any counsellors, psychotherapists or psychologists around me and without suitable career guidance, I ended up studying and qualifying as a lawyer. My sense of fulfilment was short-lived and I transitioned through a convoluted journey that included managing people until I discovered psychotherapy where I found my niche.
About me

I am an accredited therapeutic counsellor with vast experience of supporting clients privately and through organisations like MIND, the NHS, and Changing Faces.
I work with clients from all walks of life including diverse cultural, sexual and faith backgrounds covering a varied range of emotional and mental health issues.
A lot of my work tends to be around anxiety with specialist experience of working with chronic health conditions and disabilities; grief; identity; disfigurements; body image and self-esteem issues.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach involves the intentional use of relationship to nurture healing and growth.
As an integrative therapist, I work in a collaborative client-centred way to develop an individual treatment plan for each person, employing well-established theories and interventions suited to meet your requirements, while working holistically.
We start by identifying your needs, expectations, desired outcomes and agree the parameters of our work together. Throughout the work I seek to embody empathy, understanding and validation to facilitate a safe non-judgemental space for you while exploring issues from your frame of reference.
